S-A Belt Conveyor Hoods

S-A Hoods are a robust construction of aluminum or galvanized steel, which efficiently protects the material being carried from being blown off the conveyor.

APPLICATION

• Protection of belting, material and idlers from wind, rain and snow.
• Covers manufactured out of 22 GA. (0.034") smooth galvanized steel.
• Bands manufactured out of 12 GA. (.108") galvanized steel (up to 36") and 10 GA. (0.138") 42" and larger.
• 4'-0" Long sections are standard.
  Other lengths available upon request.

• A-1- Full style (180º belt coverage).
• 3/4 Style (135º belt coverage).
• A-60 Style (larger vertical sides for extra clearance).
• A-63 Style (larger vertical sides and radius for coverage of CEMA E Idlers).
• A-1-Full Aluminum Hoods.

The work environment is improved while safety also increases. The strong design is also very suitable for cold climates where snow loads need to be considered.

On inclined conveyors which are not covered, rain can cause major problems because the material gets washed away. This problem is efficiently eliminated with S-A Hoods. The sides can be opened easily, to permit inspection or roller replacement, simplifying maintenance.
